In the Long Silence, new monsters have shown their faces, from wasteland mutants to zealous fascists—no corner of the world is truly safe. Grab your team and get ready to fight your way through the shattered surface of Vian. Dark, but not hopeless: you will find your reason to keep going in this strange new world.
Era of Silence is built on a roll-low dice pool system called Thorne, designed to allow different characters to excel at the same task in different situations. Mixed with an interlocking Trait system, the game heavily emphasizes teamwork in a traditional RPG format.
A streamlined character creation process offers over 15,000+ possible character combinations but can be chosen from in a single sitting. Play a thief with a penchant for machines, a mage with a military background, a combat alchemist, and more! Then grab gear that utilizes a Template + Mod system. With just a few choices, a standard weapon turns into a trademark with its own twists and effects.
The core of the game is focused on combat. A Stamina focused action mechanic and a State system allow for tactical freedom in a way that's intuitive for both the Narrator and Protagonist Characters. An HPless damage mechanic creates an intense atmosphere where every shot feels lethal and keeps combats short.
The world of Vian is a chemipunk future fantasy setting written by R. Val and Moss Sugarmountains. The book features full-color art by Moss Sugarmountains and Willabee. With layout by F. Dan O'Neill.

Hello all!
A very quick update. If you're expecting a physical reward package for Era of Silence, it's on the way! You should receive a tracking email sent to the email address you put down in the survey. We're very excited to be getting through this next big step of fulfillment!

Packages are being shipped in waves sorted by complexity. So all standalone print books are out, but miniature bundles are will take about a week more! International orders will be dropped off with a courier for export. Domestic tracking emails are all being sent out now, though international export will follow when they've been sent off. A handful of orders expecting extra miniatures will be going out a little later than the rest, as our 3D printer suffered a failure and needs some repair.

Era of Silence Hardcover Books Are Here! Print Rewards Preparing for Shipping + Remaining Digital Modules

Hello all!
First off, I would like to apologize for the communication gap. I wrote out a backer update in mid-January when we sent off for the Era of Silence print books, just a status update most of which I'll cover here. Somehow through technical issues or errors on my end that update did not get posted. I just now realized that while preparing to send out this update! We've certainly been hard at work getting the remaining rewards out. Feel free to check out our Discord if you ever want to interface with us directly and see how things are going.
So long story short: We have the EoS print books here with us and we're preparing to send out physical rewards by the end of the month. The remaining modules are taking a little bit longer because of some rewrites to them that will make them better overall. Sins of Dreams, the Moss Sugarmountains module will be the last thing to get fulfilled as they'll need time to build the art into their schedule.

We went through Mixam after some other plans for a printer weren't able to work out. We're so happy with the quality we got from them! We are overjoyed to have this physical book in our hands. Thanks in such a huge part to this campaign! Here are a few photos of the books:

Physical Rewards Shipping
With the books ready to go, we're gathering up materials and getting ready for shipping! This is the biggest step for us to fulfilling this campaign so we're being careful to make sure we get it right. If you're expecting a hardcover, a mini, or both, check your address in the survey you filled out to make sure it's right! We'll be bundling things up and sending them out within the next couple of weeks.
Outpost on Grey River, Argent Team: Ziyo Point, and Sins of Dreams
The two remaining digital modules are on the way. I (Val, the primary writer of these two) did some rewriting to the structure of both. The stories are much more involved and thematic as a result, but it's slowed releasing them a little. If all goes well they should be good by the middle of March.
Sins of Dreams is being written but it's the one we had the least on previously. I'm working with Moss on it to craft a story. They want to do a few pieces of art for it but they're making that work between some other day-job obligations. My hope is to get that fulfilled by March but that could go into April.

Then, after all that's said and done we'll have fulfilled the Kickstarter! I know I say it enough to make it sound trite, but sincerely thank you all so much. This has been such a fun development journey and a great experience for the team. Our hope is to keep Era of Silence content coming, so if you like the game keep an eye out!

Print and Shipping Dates, Ocellaris + Modules, Ornaments

Hello all!
We appreciate your patience, November was a chaotic month for all of us on the Shrike team. We're still working hard to fulfill Era of Silence in a timely manner. The short version is that our main focus is on getting print ready for early January and then having copies and miniatures shipped out at the end of that month. Ocellaris is out now and has been distributed to everyone expecting it. Modules will be rolling out as soon as they're ready over the next few months. Finally, ornaments are going out soon to get there in time for the holidays!
So in a little more detail:
The Print Core Rulebook
As this was the goal of the original campaign, finishing the print run is our main priority. Most of the work we're doing behind the scenes is making sure we're ready for that. We have a printer lined up and we're locked in. We've chosen to print in early January for logistical reasons. We're expecting to have everything shipped out by late January and early February. We'll send pictures as the printer informs us of the process.
Miniatures
Miniatures have been printed! For cost and logistical reasons, we're going to get those out in January with the other print rewards. They're going to come unpainted but fully assembled by the printer. As we've said before, thanks so much to The Makers Cult for these designs. Here are a few pictures provided by Dan!
Ocellaris And Other Modules
Ocellaris is out! The horror mystery module by F. Dan O'Neill has players navigating a lifeless vessel to try to find a way to escape before the boat is consumed by the sea. If you selected it as your module, or are otherwise getting it, you've got it in your inbox now. Look for an email from Shrike Tabletop and Backerkit. The modules are moving more slowly than we anticipated. Our work schedules haven't been very permitting of us finishing them as we had hoped. The plan is to get out Argent Team: Ziyo Point next, then Outpost on Grey River, then Sins of Dreams. These will all be done and out by the end of February 2023. Hopefully sooner, but we're setting that as our hard cutoff.
Ornaments
Willa is working on the ornaments and has everyone's shipping address. We had an earlier shipment prepared but it was destroyed in a Post Office accident. Expect your Shrike ornament by the holiday!

Hello!
Our apologies for the radio silence, this has been a busy period both for production, and in our dayjobs. I have just sent out a copy of our optional rules and quick reference materials, Twists and Tools, to backers!
We intended to have Ocellaris out by now but we've shuffled the team around on that somewhat. The remaining modules are on the way. Print is in the same place it was where we're dealing with adjustments to our costs for that. It's on the way but we're just going to need to pay some out of pocket for it.
We'll post our next update when new files go live. Let us know if you have any questions!

Era of Silence Digital Copies Delievered!

Hello all!
A quick update here. As expected we released Era of Silence today! On top of that, every backer who was supposed to receive an email from BackerKit with a download link to their copy of the game and the character sheet. Check your email for an email with the subject "New Digital Content for Era of Silence, A Chemipunk TTRPG on BackerKit." If you were expecting a digital copy of the game and didn't get this, please get in contact with us so we can make that right.
If you're waiting on other digital rewards, don't worry! BackerKit will allow us to roll them out as they're completed. As stated in the last update, expect these next month.
This has been a long time coming, nearly 3 years of work for us. We brought it to life because of your help and we truly hope you enjoy the finished product. The team is going to take a day or two off to rest, but we'll be back with an update soon and will continue to be in regular communication until each reward is filled.
