In the Long Silence, new monsters have shown their faces, from wasteland mutants to zealous fascists—no corner of the world is truly safe. Grab your team and get ready to fight your way through the shattered surface of Vian. Dark, but not hopeless: you will find your reason to keep going in this strange new world.
Era of Silence is built on a roll-low dice pool system called Thorne, designed to allow different characters to excel at the same task in different situations. Mixed with an interlocking Trait system, the game heavily emphasizes teamwork in a traditional RPG format.
A streamlined character creation process offers over 15,000+ possible character combinations but can be chosen from in a single sitting. Play a thief with a penchant for machines, a mage with a military background, a combat alchemist, and more! Then grab gear that utilizes a Template + Mod system. With just a few choices, a standard weapon turns into a trademark with its own twists and effects.
The core of the game is focused on combat. A Stamina focused action mechanic and a State system allow for tactical freedom in a way that's intuitive for both the Narrator and Protagonist Characters. An HPless damage mechanic creates an intense atmosphere where every shot feels lethal and keeps combats short.
The world of Vian is a chemipunk future fantasy setting written by R. Val and Moss Sugarmountains. The book features full-color art by Moss Sugarmountains and Willabee. With layout by F. Dan O'Neill.

Stretch Goal #1: Sins of Dreams, An Era of Silence Module

Hey everyone! We're approaching the last few days of the campaign. We're so glad for all the support we've gotten and we're already in the preliminary stages of fulfillment. Today though, we're going to highlight a Stretch Goal. I know we have some first time backers so for those new to the process: Stretch Goals are additional milestones past the initial funding goal that help us do extra work on the game, and unlock cool extra rewards for you!
At the moment our big stretch goal is $6,000. At that amount we're going to commission Era of Silence's Art Director, Moss Sugarmountains, to write a module for Era of Silence. This one is called Sins of Dreams. I asked Moss a little about it to write up this bio. The plot hook is straightforward, an island previously thought to be abandoned has been siphoning power from neighboring countries, your party is going to go figure out why.
Moss says their inspirations for this story include The Matrix, One Piece, Soma, and Adventure Time. We'll work with them to craft the story in the Era of Silence world and bring their vision to life. The additional funding allows us to pay them for time and full art.
If we clear this 6,000 goal we'll look at our next goal, which is a playable species expansion!

Hey all! Robin here. Writing to let you all know that as of today Era of Silence is fully funded!
That's right, thanks to your generous support we have funded the final version of Era of Silence. Thank you so much. With your help, we've brought a years long project to life. This is just the beginning.
So What Now?
Now, we continue campaigning and promoting the game. We move on to our first Stretch Goal, which are goals we do past the initial 5,000 to help fund additional rewards and give the team more financial breathing room to finish the game. Our first Stretch Goal is: 6,000: At this goal we commission Moss Sugarmountains, our artist, to write a playable module for Era of Silence called Sins of Dreams. We'll post more on this later this week.
The campaign ends the 16th, at which point we'll get to work! Today, we at the Shrike Tabletop team are celebrating! We couldn't have done any of this without you. Thank each and every one of you so much.

Hey all! It's Robin Belle, project lead of Era of Silence and admin for Shrike Tabletop.
State of the Campaign:
Writing because we're halfway through the campaign today, and we're over 80% funded! At this point we're confident we're going to clear our goal. The campaign ends on December 16th, at which point we'll start work on completing the book and getting your rewards fulfilled! We're expecting most rewards to ship in the Summer of 2022.
If we clear 6,000, we'll unlock our first Stretch Goal (additional rewards included at the tiers that list Stretch Goal rewards). This will be a module written by Moss Sugarmountains, with more information to come when we clear our initial goal!
We've had several new interviews and "actual play" demonstrations of Era of Silence, all posted in our Story section of the Kickstarter. Check them out to see the game in action!
So What Now?
We keep promoting the game until we clear the initial goal! The best thing you can do (besides already backing, thank you so much) is share the campaign and tell your friends you backed. Word of mouth is almost always the most effective form of promotion!
We're so close to making Era of Silence a reality, and we have each and every one of you to thank for that. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you again.

Hey! Sorry for the second blast, this is the last one I'll be sending until we hit a funding milestone. Just wanted to share the photos we have of these fantastic Holiday bundle rewards. The miniatures are custom, so these are just an example. They also won't be painted, this just helps show what a finished one looks like. The ornament will be bearing Shrike colors!

Holiday Bundle Special!

These give you a copy of the game (either digital or hardcover, depending on the tier), a custom Era of Silence miniature by The Makers Cult, and a Shrike Tabletop bulb ornament by Willa Coenen. If you already backed but you want a mini (or an extra) and the ornament, adding on the holiday bundle is easy! When you go to our Kickstarter page, click "Manage my pledge", then click "change my pledge", select the tier you're already backing, then click the Holiday Bundle add-on. It adds 5 and shipping to your pledge, and then you have the Holiday bundle!
Era of Silence Miniatures Add-On
In addition to the limited time Holiday Bundle, we're also adding Era of Silence miniatures as an add-on. These custom miniatures are the product of The Makers Cult. For an additional $10, an extra miniature will be added to your order! Just follow the same process listed above to add that on to your order (but for these next two days, the Holiday bundle is the better deal). Miniatures are customized by a survey and then sent to you to paint.
$45 Book Tier Backers Get Stretch Goals
This is a clarification of a clerical error more than anything. We always intended Book tier backers to get any unlocked stretch goals (additional rewards if we meet financial marks after our initial goal). We can't update the description anymore, but you don't need to do anything if you're at this tier. We can simply just send out any stretch rewards to you if we fund them.
